Receive the Return
Scan the return barcode to open the return case. The console shows the original order, the items expected back, and the reason the customer gave.
Inspect and Grade
- Sellable: Unused and in original packaging โ return to pickable stock.
- Unsellable: Used, opened, or damaged โ route to the unsellable area.
- Foreign / mismatch: Not the expected item โ flag for investigation.
Complete the Outcome
- Record the grade for each returned unit.
- Scan a putaway location for sellable items to restock them.
- Confirm the return so the customer's refund or replacement can proceed.
Important: Grade honestly. Restocking a damaged item as sellable leads to a second return and an unhappy customer.
