A buyer returns one unit of Colombian Coffee Beans 250g from order ORD-277340 — unopened, changed their mind. Because it is FBF, the return goes to the Fawran warehouse, not to Ahmad. Here is how the unit travels back into his world.
Starting point
In the buyer-returns pages this FBF return is read-only for Ahmad — the platform manages it. The seller-facing action starts later, in the warehouse: at receipt the unit’s permanent FWU identity — FWU-2026-000000000123-C7, the same barcode it carried when first stored — is scanned and validated, so the warehouse knows this is exactly the unit that shipped for that order. Inspection then grades it A — excellent, and a case appears in Ahmad’s Warehouse Returns workspace.
Navigation path
Inventory›Customer Returns›Pending Decision
Steps
- Open Inventory›Customer Returns and switch to the Pending Decision tab — the case shows the product, “1 FWU”, grade A — excellent and disposition
PENDING_DISPOSITION. - Open the case detail and review the inspection block: notes, inspection photos, storage location.
- Pick the working path today: Restock to FBF. Despite its name, this button opens the stock-retrieval (restock) wizard with the case preselected — a pickup-request dialog opens automatically where Ahmad arranges to collect the unit from the warehouse (or have it shipped to him). Once it is back with him he can send it in a future FBF inbound shipment to sell again.
- Note what is not live yet: Transfer to FBF — the direct “put it straight back into my sellable FBF stock, executed by the warehouse” decision — plus Return to me and Keep stored currently answer with the toast “This action isn't enabled yet — coming soon.” (
FEATURE_DISABLED). They are awaiting platform activation. - The buyer’s refund runs on the platform side and is not something Ahmad triggers here. The financial details of this step are covered in a dedicated Finance guide coming soon.
What you should see
Inspection statuses run PENDING_INSPECTION → IN_INSPECTION → INSPECTED; condition grades are A/B/C/D (only D means unsellable). After a recorded decision the row stops being actionable and an execution badge tracks the warehouse team: pending → executed.
A common mistake
Reading Restock to FBF as “one click and the unit is instantly sellable again”. Today that button routes you into the retrieval wizard to get the unit back to you; the direct-to-sellable-stock decision (Transfer to FBF) is the one awaiting activation. Also remember the workspace notice: decisions are executed by the warehouse team, and storage continues until the case is closed — so don’t leave graded cases sitting undecided. The financial details of this step are covered in a dedicated Finance guide coming soon.
When to contact support
Use Support›New Ticket → Returns & Refunds when: the case data looks wrong (product or FWU doesn’t match), the “invalid data” banner appears (inspection recorded without a grade — the warehouse must fix it), or a recorded decision stays unexecuted unusually long. Include the case ID from the Warehouse Returns page and the FWU code.
