When an FBF or MARKET item comes back, its return request is managed by Fawran — but the physical units land in a platform warehouse and become your cases. The Warehouse Returns workspace (shown as Inventory Returns) is where you watch each unit get inspected and graded, and where you decide its fate once the warehouse asks for your decision.
Where to find it
Open Inventory & Warehouses›Customer Returns in the sidebar.
Reading the list: tabs, counters, export
The five tabs map one-to-one to the case’s disposition status, and a counter card sits above each. Export Excel downloads the current view (product, SKU, order, quantity, grade, disposition, inspection, warehouse, location, updated date).
| Tab | Status | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| All | — | Every warehouse return case for your store |
| Pending decision | PENDING_DISPOSITION | Inspected — awaiting your decision |
| Restock at FBF | RESTOCK_AT_FBF | Decision recorded: back into sellable FBF stock |
| Return to seller | RETURN_TO_SELLER | Decision recorded: units to be sent back to you |
| Dispose | DISPOSE | Decision recorded: units queued for disposal |
Reading a row: the columns
| Column | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Product / SKU / Order ID / Quantity | What came back and from which order |
| Sellable | Pending inspection · In inspection · Sellable (grades A–C) · Unsellable (grade D) |
| Grade | The condition grade chip (A green · B blue · C orange · D red) |
| Disposition | The case status; a “Return Shipment In Progress” chip appears when a return shipment is linked |
| Warehouse | Which platform warehouse holds the units |
| Units | A “{count} FWU” chip — how many serialized unit barcodes are bound to this case |
| Lot | The returned-inventory lot ID (copyable) once putaway is done |
| Storage Location | Bin/shelf code captured by the warehouse storage scan |
| Storage Age | “{days} days” since inspection — how long the units have been sitting |
| Actions | Decision buttons when the case is actionable, or an execution badge after you decide |
Since July 2026 returned units keep their original FWU barcode for life, and the warehouse validates each unit’s identity at receipt — a wrong unit, a duplicate, or a unit from another order is caught and becomes a case instead of entering stock. The unit-count chip on the row reflects those verified barcodes; the individual barcodes themselves are managed by the warehouse.

RESTOCK | Restock to FBF | Opens the restock wizard to bring units back |
DISPOSE | Dispose | Units destroyed by the warehouse — irreversible |

When can you act? The decision moment
The decision buttons appear only when all of these hold: inspection is INSPECTED, disposition is PENDING_DISPOSITION, a condition grade is recorded, and no decision has been taken yet. Before that the row shows the inspection chip; after your decision it shows an execution badge instead of buttons.
The case detail page states it plainly: “Decisions you take here are recorded immediately and executed by the warehouse team. Storage fees continue to accrue until the case is resolved.” The financial details of this step are covered in a dedicated Finance guide coming soon.
Your five decisions — what works today
FEATURE_DISABLED and the toast “This action isn't enabled yet — coming soon.”FEATURE_DISABLEDReturn decision is not enabled yetConfirming Transfer to FBF, Return to me, or Keep stored shows the toast “This action isn't enabled yet — coming soon.” — the case stays in Pending decision.
- The seller return-decision feature is awaiting platform activation.
- Use Dispose if that is genuinely what you want — it works today (reason required).
- Use Restock to FBF to bring the units back through the restock wizard.
- Otherwise wait — the units stay safely stored, and storage continues until resolved.
- Open a support ticket (Returns & Refunds) if the case is urgent.
Include the case ID from the Warehouse Returns page and the order ID.
After the decision: execution states
Your decision is recorded instantly, but the physical work is done by the warehouse. The Actions column collapses to a badge that tracks it:
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending warehouse execution | Your decision is queued; the warehouse has not executed it yet |
| Executed | Done — units disposed, restocked, or resolved |
| Execution failed | The warehouse attempt failed; the platform team retries or cancels |
| Execution cancelled | The execution was cancelled (e.g. the case was withdrawn) |
Repeating the same decision on a case is safe (it is idempotent), but a different decision after one is recorded is rejected: “A different decision request was already recorded for this case.”
Storage, fees, and case details
Open any row (the eye icon) for the full case: case ID, order, warehouse, storage location and scan state, inspection date and notes, inspection photos (uploaded by the warehouse), the bound-unit count, the lot ID, the accepted condition, and the decision timeline. The Storage Age column is your reminder that undecided units are not free. The financial details of this step are covered in a dedicated Finance guide coming soon.
Ahmad Home Goods sees a case for “Colombian Coffee Beans 250g” (CF-250-COL, order ORD-284551): 2 units, chip “2 FWU”, grade B, status Pending decision, storage age 4 days. The bags are intact, so Ahmad clicks Restock to FBF — the restock wizard opens with the case preselected and he schedules the return to sellable stock. A second case, grade D (crushed packaging), gets Dispose with the reason “packaging destroyed, contents exposed” — the toast confirms “Disposal queued for the warehouse team.”
Leaving cases in “Pending decision” for weeks. The units block nothing but cost storage — decide, or dispose what is genuinely worthless.
