Ahmad from Ahmad Home Goods sent an inbound FBF shipment of 20 units of Colombian Coffee Beans 250g (SKU CF-250-COL). The shipment reached the warehouse, but receiving seems to pause. He asks support, and the answer includes a word he has never seen in his app: units are UNPRINTED. Here is exactly what is happening and what — if anything — he should do.
Starting point
Ahmad’s shipment FBF-284117 shows status ARRIVED_AT_WAREHOUSE and then the receiving stage “Received — under inspection”. Its unit-label responsibility panel shows “Fawran prints unit barcodes during receiving” — the mode support calls FAWRAN_PRINTS.
UNPRINTED is a warehouse-side status for each individual unit, not something the seller app displays. It means: the unique unit barcode (FWU) for that unit exists in the system, but the warehouse team has not yet printed, attached and scanned the physical label. Under FAWRAN_PRINTS, unit barcodes are generated automatically when the shipment arrives, and warehouse scans reject every unit until its label is printed and attached — that is the pause Ahmad is seeing. It is a normal stage of receiving, done by the warehouse, not by him.

Steps
- Open the shipment detail for
FBF-284117and find the Unit barcode (FWU) responsibility panel. - Confirm the mode chip reads “Fawran prints unit barcodes during receiving”. That confirms the
UNPRINTEDpause is the warehouse’s printing queue — not a problem on Ahmad’s side. - Do nothing with unit labels. Ahmad’s only labeling duty in this mode is the carton labels he attested to before submitting — those stay his responsibility at all times.
- Watch the receiving stages on the same page: “Received — under inspection” → “Stored — awaiting activation” → “Activated in inventory”.
- If the shipment sits without any stage change for clearly longer than his previous shipments took, open a support ticket (see below) — the app does not publish a fixed receiving time, so don’t assume one.
The contrast branch — a seller-prints shipment. On an earlier shipment in SELLER_PRINTS mode, Ahmad forgot to print unit labels before handing over the boxes. There, receiving is blocked by his missing labels: the fix is the shipment detail page — Allocate unit barcodes, then Download unit labels, print and attach one label per unit, and coordinate with the warehouse through a support ticket about labeling the units already at the gate. Note: today the seller-prints option is awaiting platform activation, so new shipments run in Fawran-prints mode — if he tries to download unit labels for a Fawran-prints shipment he gets the exact error wrong_mode: “Unit labels are printed by Fawran during receiving for this shipment.”
What you should see
Inside RECEIVED, the display stages progress as the warehouse prints, attaches and scans each unit: “Received — under inspection”, then “Stored — awaiting activation”, then “Activated in inventory” — at which point the 20 units appear in Ahmad’s FBF stock.
A common mistake
Printing your own unit labels “to speed things up” on a Fawran-prints shipment. The app says it directly: Do not attach unit barcodes yourself — receiving is blocked until the warehouse prints, attaches and scans them. A seller-made label is not in the warehouse’s print queue, so it can’t be scanned as valid and only adds confusion at receiving. Carton labels: always yours. Unit labels in this mode: never yours.
When to contact support
Open a ticket via Support›New Ticket → Shipping & Fulfillment → FBF Inbound Issue → Stock receiving delayed. Include the shipment number FBF-284117, the current status shown in the app, and when it arrived. Contact support when the shipment shows no stage change for an unusually long time, or if any error message appears on the shipment page.
