Commission & Fee Policy — FBF
Referral, fulfilment, storage and removal fees for Fulfilled by Fawran.
1. Purpose and scope#
1.1 This Commission & Fee Policy — FBF ("Fee Policy") is the official fee schedule for Sellers operating under the FBF (Fulfilled by Fawran) model on the Fawran marketplace ("Platform"). It forms part of, and is incorporated into, the Seller Agreement, and governs the Fees payable by the Seller for FBF.
1.2 A separate Commission & Fee Policy — MARKET & FBS governs the MARKET and FBS models. Each transaction is charged under the Fee Policy applicable to its model.
1.3 Under FBF, the Seller's inventory is received into and stored at Fawran (or Fawran-operated) warehouses, and Fawran performs storage, pick, pack, dispatch, and the operational side of returns. Title to FBF inventory remains with the Seller, who is charged the Fees below.
2. Definitions#
- "Referral Fee" means the commission on each unit sold, as a percentage of the Sale Price by category (Schedule B).
- "Outbound Fulfilment Fee" means the per-unit fee for picking, packing, and dispatching an Item to the Buyer (Part 4).
- "Chargeable Weight" means the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight, rounded up to the nearest 50 grams.
- "Volumetric Weight" (shipping) = L × W × H (cm) ÷ 5,000, in kilograms.
- "CBF" (Cubic Feet) = L × W × H (cm) ÷ 28,317.
- "VAT" means General Sales Tax under Jordanian law.
- "Default Fee" / "Contingent Fee" as in Parts 4–5 / Part 6.
All Fees are in Jordanian Dinars (JOD) and are exclusive of VAT.

5. Referral Fees (FBF)#
5.1 A Referral Fee is charged per unit sold, as a percentage of the Sale Price by category, as set out in Schedule B. Referral Fees are exclusive of VAT. For FBF, Fashion Clothes and Shoes are 18% (compared with 23% under MARKET & FBS).
6. Storage and inventory fees#
6.1 Monthly Storage Fee. Charged monthly per unit stored in Fawran warehouses, by volume: 0.50 JOD per CBF per month, where CBF = L × W × H (cm) ÷ 28,317.
6.2 Long-Term Storage Fee. For inventory stored more than 180 days: 5.00 JOD per CBF per month (in addition to, or in place of, the monthly storage fee as configured in the Seller Portal).
6.3 Unsellable Inventory Storage Fee. For unsellable inventory stored more than 30 days in fulfilment centres: 0.600 JOD per CBF per month. *(Source states "0.60 fils (~0.006 JOD)"; rendered as 0.600 JOD pending confirmation — see Schedule C.)*
7. Removal Fees (FBF)#
7.1 Charged when the Seller requests removal of inventory from a fulfilment centre, or on termination. Two methods:
7.2 A — Delivery (Fawran delivers to the Seller): minimum removal fee 3.00 JOD; per-unit delivery fee 0.07 JOD; plus 0.20 JOD per kg (same city), where the per-kg charge applies to the greater of actual and volumetric weight. *Formula:* fee = max(3.00, 0.07 × units + 0.20 × max(actual, volumetric weight)).
7.3 B — Pickup (the Seller collects from Fawran): minimum removal fee 3.00 JOD; per-unit handling fee 0.07 JOD; plus 0.20 JOD per CBF processing, where CBF = L × W × H (cm) ÷ 28,317. *Formula:* fee = max(3.00, 0.07 × units + 0.20 × total CBF).
7.4 Inventory that is unsellable, expired, prohibited, or abandoned may be removed or disposed of in accordance with the Seller Agreement and the Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy; disposal handling may be charged.
8. Value-Added Services (inbound, optional)#
8.1 Optional preparation services applied to Items received at Fawran (JOD per unit, VAT-exclusive):
| Service | Standard Envelope/Parcel | Large | Huge & Massive |
|---|---|---|---|
| Polybag / standard wrapping | 0.16 | 0.16 | 0.20 |
| Bubble wrap | 0.40 | 0.40 | n/a |
| Cardboard with cushioning | 0.40 | 0.50 | n/a |
9. Contingent Fees#
Applied only in the stated scenarios; "case-assessed" amounts are determined per incident under the Seller Agreement, the Seller Policies, and applicable law, and notified to the Seller.
9.1 Warranty Claim Fee (WNTY) — where a Buyer files a warranty claim the Seller cannot fulfil as required by law and Fawran policy. *(Case-assessed.)*
9.2 Retention Penalty Fee (RETP) — to compensate Buyers for complaints arising from non-compliance with law or Fawran policy, including: items with missing, damaged, defective, or counterfeit parts; expired products; products not matching the Listing; and pricing errors. *(Case-assessed.)*
9.3 Miscellaneous Fee (MISC) — administratively assessed for irregular incidents causing Buyer complaints or violating law or Fawran policy (e.g., counterfeit penalties). *(Case-assessed.)*
10. Taxes (VAT)#
10.1 All Fees are exclusive of VAT; applicable VAT is added and charged under Jordanian law. The Seller remains responsible for its own Taxes on its sales.
11. Calculation rules and worked examples#
11.1 Rules. Chargeable Weight = greater of actual and volumetric weight, rounded up to the nearest 50 g (volumetric divisor 5,000). Storage and pickup-removal use CBF (divisor 28,317). Fees are per unit unless stated.
11.2 Example — FBF sale. A "Tableware" Item (Home & Kitchen, 14%) sells for 25.000 JOD. Standard Parcel, actual 0.9 kg, dims 25 × 20 × 12 cm → volumetric = 25 × 20 × 12 ÷ 5,000 = 1.2 kg → Chargeable Weight 1.2 kg → Outbound Fee tier "> 1.0 ≤ 1.5 kg" = 1.40 JOD. Referral Fee = 14% × 25.000 = 3.500 JOD. If stored, monthly storage = 0.50 × CBF, where CBF = 25 × 20 × 12 ÷ 28,317 = 0.212 → 0.106 JOD/month. VAT is added to the Fees. Net to Seller = 25.000 − 3.500 − 1.40 − storage − VAT on Fees − any contingent fees.
12. Billing, deductions, and statements#
12.1 Fees are calculated and deducted from Proceeds in accordance with the Payout Policy, and reported through the Seller Portal. Electronic records constitute reliable evidence under the Electronic Transactions Law No. 15 of 2015. The Seller shall review statements and raise discrepancies within the stated period.
13. Fee updates and amendments#
13.1 Fawran may update this Fee Policy in accordance with the Seller Agreement, with version number, effective date, and reasonable advance notice for material changes. Continued use of FBF after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law and disputes#
14.1 This Fee Policy is governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, with disputes resolved in accordance with the Seller Agreement.
15. Valuation of, and compensation for, lost, damaged, or short products#
*This Part is the final rule referred to in clause 6.3 and clause 6.5 of the Seller Agreement and in clause 5.3 of the Shipping & Fulfillment Policy. None of those provisions refers on to any further document beyond this Part.*
15.1 Scope, and when Fawran is liable#
15.1.1 This Part applies to every loss, damage, shortage, substitution, theft, improper storage, or unauthorised disposal affecting FBF inventory while it is actually in the custody of Fawran or of its logistics provider, from proof of receipt at the fulfilment centre to proof of delivery to the customer or return to the Seller.
15.1.2 Fawran is not liable for: inherent defect in the Item or its natural characteristics; inadequate packaging or preparation by the Seller; incorrect data or specifications; undisclosed prohibited or dangerous Items; ordinary natural shrinkage; normal handling; the act of the Seller or the customer; force majeure; and anything after proof of delivery.
15.2 Basis of value#
15.2.1 Item available in the market — the single governing rule: the initial compensable value is the full market value of the Item, or of the closest comparable Item, as at the date the loss or damage was discovered, or the date Fawran paid, or became contractually liable to pay, compensation to the Seller or the customer — whichever is higher and more accurately reflects the direct loss, provided that this does not result in unjust enrichment or duplicate recovery. This single unified date was adopted deliberately so that the responsible party does not benefit from delay in handling or from price movement. *(A single rule, identical in substance to clause 6.5.3 of the Seller Agreement and clause 14/5-3 of the Logistics Services Agreement.)*
15.2.2 Item unavailable or with no reliable market value: Fawran determines the initial value by reference to one or more of the following — the selling price adopted on the Platform · the historical average selling price · the purchase price · the Seller's invoice · replacement cost · import cost · customs · taxes · the price of a comparable product · specifications · rarity · the condition of the product before the damage · an expert valuation · any reliable commercial document.
15.2.3 Partial damage: compensation is the amount reasonably required to restore the affected party to the position it would have occupied had the damage not occurred, measured by the reduction in market value or the reasonable cost of repair, whichever is the more accurate measure in the circumstances, provided that the compensation does not exceed the Item's full compensable value; if the Item has lost its saleability it is compensated in full and title to it passes to Fawran.
15.3 Recoverable costs#
Compensation includes, where applicable and documented: product value · replacement cost · shipping · transport · customs · taxes · packaging · handling · inspection · disposal · re-delivery · refunds · customer compensation · Seller compensation · recovery costs · alternative-provider cost · investigation costs · expert fees · administrative expenses at 10% of the direct loss value, subject to a minimum of 10 JOD and a maximum of 1,000 JOD per incident · reasonable legal costs where they arise from the logistics provider's breach. [percentage proposed by the system — amendable by management before signature]
*The administrative-expense percentage does not include: expert fees, legal fees, alternative-provider cost, customer and Seller compensation, and transport and recovery costs — these are added at their actual documented cost.*
What is not compensated: anticipated lost profit, indirect losses, and loss of opportunity or reputation — save in cases of fraud or gross fault, or to the extent mandatory law requires.
15.4 Notice and objection#
15.4.1 Fawran notifies the Seller of the incident and issues a reasoned valuation notice setting out the basis adopted and the components of the calculation.
15.4.2 The valuation is provisionally binding, and the Seller may object within [7] Business Days of the notice, by a written objection supported by objective evidence that identifies precisely where the error lies. A general objection, or a bare assertion that the assessment is too low, is not sufficient. If the error is established, the valuation is corrected accordingly.
15.4.3 The undisputed amount is paid immediately and is not suspended by the objection.
15.5 Independent expert#
15.5.1 Failing agreement, the valuation dispute alone is referred to an independent, appropriately qualified expert unconnected with either party, chosen by agreement of the parties within [5] Business Days, failing which the expert is appointed by [the appointing authority designated in Fawran's published policy].
15.5.2 The established basis of liability is not reopened — the expert's remit is value only.
15.5.3 The expert delivers a report within [15] Business Days, and the unsuccessful party bears its cost; where the difference is slight, or where both parties are shown to have materially contributed to the error, the expert apportions the cost between them according to contribution.
15.5.4 Fawran may reserve the amount in dispute until the report is issued, without prejudice to payment of what is not in dispute.
15.6 Prevention of double compensation#
15.6.1 Fawran does not claim compensation twice for the same loss.
15.6.2 The Seller does not claim compensation for the same incident from both Fawran and the logistics provider; what Fawran pays and what Fawran collects in respect of the same incident are both applied against the single loss, and any excess over what Fawran has paid plus its documented costs is paid to the Seller.
15.6.3 Insurance proceeds and full compensation for the same loss do not combine; amounts received from the insurer are deducted from the claim.
15.6.4 Nevertheless, payment of compensation may not be delayed on the ground that the outcome of an insurance claim is awaited, and the Seller's entitlement is not conditional on Fawran's recovery from the provider or its insurer.
15.7 Subrogation#
By paying compensation to the Seller, Fawran is subrogated to the Seller, to the extent of what it has paid, in every right or action against the logistics provider, its insurer, or any responsible party, in accordance with clause 6.4 of the Seller Agreement.

Schedule C — Source values to confirm before publication#
No figure has been invented; each item shows the source value and the rendering applied, for Fawran to confirm before publication:
- Outbound — Huge, > 10 ≤ 15 kg and > 15 ≤ 20 kg — source values 1.00 and 1.10 JOD break the increasing tier sequence (the ≤ 4 kg rate is already 2.70). Marked [confirm] in Part 4; supply correct values.
- Outbound — Standard Envelope — source lists three overlapping weight rows all at 1.10 JOD; consolidated to a flat 1.10 JOD. Confirm.
- Outbound — Massive — confirm continuity between the per-kg banding (> 24–30 kg at + 0.40/kg) and the 30–35 kg flat of 12.00 JOD.
- Unsellable storage — source "0.60 fils (~0.006 JOD)"; rendered as 0.600 JOD per CBF/month. Confirm unit/amount (note the MARKET/FBS schedule uses 2.00 JOD).
- Sports & Outdoors referral — source threshold referenced "AED"; normalised to JOD (15% ≤ 30 JOD / 12% > 30 JOD) consistent with this JOD-only schedule. Confirm.
- Referral ranges (e.g., 5%–16%, 5%–18%) — confirm exact per-sub-category percentages.
- Grocery / Baby Care / Music — source "varies"; supply definitive rates.
- Part 15.3 — administrative expenses at 10% (min 10 JOD / max 1,000 JOD per incident) — proposed by the system; confirm the percentage and the floor/cap.
- Part 15.2.1 — valuation date "whichever is higher" — proposed by the system; confirm, or replace with the date that most accurately measures Fawran's actual loss.
