Commission & Fee Policy — MARKET & FBS

1. Purpose and scope#

1.1 This Commission & Fee Policy — MARKET & FBS ("Fee Policy") is the official fee schedule for Sellers operating under the MARKET and FBS (Fulfilled by Seller) models on the Fawran marketplace ("Platform"). It forms part of, and is incorporated into, the Seller Agreement, and governs the Fees payable by the Seller for these models.

1.2 A separate Commission & Fee Policy — FBF governs the Fulfilled-by-Fawran model. Where a Seller operates more than one model, each transaction is charged under the Fee Policy applicable to its model.

1.3 Capitalised terms have the meaning in the Seller Agreement and in clause 3.

2. Fulfilment models covered#

2.1 MARKET. The listing is served from the Seller's own (or virtual) supply, and Fawran performs last-mile delivery to the Buyer from the Seller's inventory. Fees: referral fee + MARKET shipping fees + contingent fees.

2.2 FBS (Fulfilled by Seller). The Seller stores and ships its own inventory. Fawran provides the marketplace. Fees: referral fee + contingent fees only. Fawran does not charge fulfilment or storage fees for FBS, as the Seller performs fulfilment.

3. Definitions#

• "Referral Fee" means the commission charged on each unit sold, calculated as a percentage of the Sale Price by category.
• "Sale Price" means the price paid by the Buyer for the Item, excluding separately itemised delivery fees, and as further defined in the Seller Portal rate card.
• "Chargeable Weight" means the greater of an Item's actual weight and its volumetric weight, rounded up to the nearest 50 grams.
• "Volumetric Weight" (shipping) means Length × Width × Height (in centimetres) ÷ 5,000, expressed in kilograms.
• "CBF" (Cubic Feet) means Length × Width × Height (in centimetres) ÷ 28,317.
• "VAT" means General Sales Tax applicable under Jordanian law.
• "Contingent Fee" means a fee applied only in specific scenarios (Part 6).
• "Default Fee" means a fee applied automatically to qualifying transactions (Parts 4–5).

4. Referral Fees (MARKET & FBS)#

4.1 A Referral Fee is charged per unit sold, as a percentage of the Sale Price, by product category, as set out in Schedule B (Referral Fee Schedule). Referral Fees are exclusive of VAT.

4.2 Minimum Referral Fee. A minimum Referral Fee of 0.200 JOD per unit sold applies where the percentage-based fee would be lower. *(Source states "0.20 fils"; rendered here as 0.200 JOD pending confirmation — see Schedule C.)*

4.3 Fashion uplift (MARKET & FBS). For the Fashion categories Clothes and Shoes, the Referral Fee under MARKET & FBS is 23% (compared with 18% under FBF). This is reflected in Schedule B.

4.4 The Referral Fee Schedule may specify a single rate, a range (reflecting sub-category variation finalised in the Seller Portal rate card), or a price-threshold rate (a different percentage above and below a stated Sale-Price threshold).

5. MARKET Shipping Fees#

5.1 MARKET shipping fees apply only to the MARKET model, where Fawran delivers to the Buyer from the Seller's inventory. FBS Orders are not charged MARKET shipping fees.

5.2 Calculation. (a) Compute Volumetric Weight = L × W × H (cm) ÷ 5,000. (b) Determine actual weight. (c) Chargeable Weight = greater of the two, rounded up to the nearest 50 g. (d) Apply the rate for the package size and weight tier in the table below. The fee comprises a Pickup/Receipt component and a Delivery component.

5.3 MARKET shipping rates (JOD, VAT-exclusive):

5.4 Refundability. MARKET shipping fees are non-refundable, except where a delivery fails due to no response from the Buyer (non-customer-response), in which case the treatment in the Seller Portal applies.

6. Customer Shipping Charge Compensation (MARKET)#

6.1 Where the Buyer pays a delivery charge and the Order is successfully delivered, the Seller receives shipping compensation based on the Order's total value:

7. Contingent Fees#

The following apply only in the stated scenarios. Amounts marked "case-assessed" are determined per incident in accordance with the Seller Agreement, the Seller Policies, and applicable law, and are notified to the Seller.

7.1 Unsellable Inventory Storage Fee. For unsellable inventory stored in Fawran fulfilment centres for more than 30 days: 2.00 JOD per CBF per month (CBF = L × W × H (cm) ÷ 28,317).

7.2 Return Management Fee. Charged for processing Buyer returns caused by seller-controllable factors, including: Item different from Listing; counterfeit; damaged or defective; used or pre-activated; missing parts; extra items; exceptional return cases; and post-return-to-carrier cases. *(Case-assessed.)*

7.3 Warranty Claim Fee (WNTY). Charged where a Buyer files a warranty claim the Seller cannot fulfil as required by law and Fawran policy. *(Case-assessed.)*

7.4 Retention Penalty Fee (RETP). Charged to compensate Buyers for complaints arising from the Seller's non-compliance with law or Fawran policy, including: cancelled, delayed, or undelivered Orders; and fulfilment with items that are missing parts, counterfeit, damaged, defective, used/pre-activated, expired, or not matching the Listing. *(Case-assessed.)*

7.5 Miscellaneous Fee (MISC). Administratively assessed for irregular incidents causing Buyer complaints or violating law or Fawran policy. *(Case-assessed.)*

8. Order Cancellation Fees#

8.1 For MARKET & FBS Orders, a cancellation fee equal to the Referral Fee percentage for the Item's category applies to seller-attributable cancellations, in accordance with the Seller Agreement and the Cancellation interaction in the Seller Policies. Cancellation fees do not apply to cancellations attributable to Fawran or to events beyond the Seller's reasonable control.

9. Taxes (VAT)#

9.1 All Fees in this Fee Policy are exclusive of VAT. Applicable VAT is added to Fees and charged in accordance with Jordanian law. The Seller remains responsible for its own Taxes on its sales as set out in the Seller Agreement.

10. Calculation rules and worked examples#

10.1 General rules. Chargeable Weight = greater of actual and volumetric weight, rounded up to the nearest 50 g. Volumetric divisor for shipping is 5,000; storage volume uses CBF (divisor 28,317). Fees are charged per unit unless stated otherwise.

10.2 Example A — FBS sale (seller-fulfilled). A "Home Decor" Item sells for 40.000 JOD. Referral Fee = 12% × 40.000 = 4.800 JOD. No MARKET shipping or storage fees (FBS). VAT is added to the 4.800 JOD Fee. Net to Seller = 40.000 − 4.800 − VAT on fee − any contingent fees.

10.3 Example B — MARKET sale (Fawran delivers). A Standard Parcel weighing 0.8 kg actual; dimensions 30 × 20 × 10 cm → Volumetric = 30 × 20 × 10 ÷ 5,000 = 1.2 kg. Chargeable Weight = greater of 0.8 and 1.2 = 1.2 kg → tier "> 1.0 ≤ 1.5 kg": Pickup 0.215 + Delivery 0.195 = 0.410 JOD shipping. Add the category Referral Fee on the Sale Price, plus VAT on Fees. If the Buyer paid delivery and the Order total is 15 JOD, Seller shipping compensation = 2.00 JOD (Part 6).

11. Billing, deductions, and statements#

11.1 Fees are calculated per transaction and deducted from Proceeds in accordance with the Payout Policy. Fawran provides statements through the Seller Portal. The Seller shall review statements and raise discrepancies within the period stated there. Electronic records constitute reliable evidence under the Electronic Transactions Law No. 15 of 2015.

12. Fee updates and amendments#

12.1 Fawran may update this Fee Policy, including rates, tiers, categories, and contingent fees, in accordance with the Seller Agreement. Material changes are published with a version number and effective date and notified with reasonable advance notice. Continued selling after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law and disputes#

13.1 This Fee Policy is governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, with disputes resolved in accordance with the Seller Agreement.

Rates are a percentage of Sale Price, per unit, exclusive of VAT. "Threshold" rates show the percentage below / above a stated Sale-Price threshold. Ranges reflect sub-category variation finalised in the Seller Portal rate card. For MARKET & FBS, Clothes and Shoes are 23%.

Schedule C — Source values to confirm before publication#

The following cells in the source schedule are internally inconsistent or have ambiguous units and must be confirmed by Fawran before publication (no figure has been invented; the source value and the rendering applied are shown):
