Product Listing Policy

1. Purpose and scope#

1.1 This Product Listing Policy ("Policy") sets out the requirements for creating and maintaining product Listings on the Fawran marketplace ("Platform"). It forms part of, and is incorporated into, the Seller Agreement, and applies to all Sellers and all Listings. Capitalised terms have the meaning in the Seller Agreement.

2. General listing requirements#

2.1 Every Listing must be accurate, complete, lawful, and not misleading, and must correspond to the actual Item the Seller will deliver. The Seller is responsible for all content and data in its Listings.

2.2 Listings must comply with this Policy, the Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy, the Seller Code of Conduct, and all applicable laws, including consumer-protection, labelling, advertising, and intellectual-property law.

3. Product detail and accuracy#

3.1 Listings must include accurate and sufficient information for the Item, which may include: title, brand, category, accurate description, key specifications, condition (new/used/refurbished and grade), size/variant, country of origin where required, contents, and clear, genuine images of the actual Item.

3.2 Sellers shall not: use inaccurate titles, descriptions, or images; misrepresent brand, model, condition, quantity, or specifications; reuse images or content they are not authorised to use; or include content unrelated to the Item.

3.3 Sellers shall keep Listings, availability, and pricing current, and shall promptly correct errors and remove or deactivate Items they cannot fulfil.

4. Condition and authenticity#

4.1 Item condition must be stated accurately. Used, refurbished, or open-box Items must be clearly identified and graded. Only authentic Items may be listed; counterfeit, replica, and infringing Items are prohibited under the Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy and the Seller Code of Conduct.

5. Pricing and offers in Listings#

5.1 Prices must be accurate, include or clearly account for applicable Tax as required by law, and not be misleading. Reference prices, discounts, and savings claims must be truthful and substantiated, and Sellers shall not use deceptive pricing, fake reference prices, or misleading urgency or scarcity claims. Pricing must comply with applicable competition and price-gouging law.

6. Prohibited and restricted content#

6.1 Listings must not contain prohibited or restricted products or content (see the Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy), unlawful, offensive, deceptive, or infringing material, malware or harmful code, third-party personal data, or unauthorised marketing, contact details, links, or off-Platform solicitations.

7. Intellectual property and brand#

7.1 Sellers must hold all rights necessary for the content, trademarks, and intellectual property in their Listings and must not infringe third-party rights. Use of another party's brand, trademarks, or copyrighted content without authorisation is prohibited. Fawran operates a notice-and-takedown process and may remove infringing Listings and act against repeat infringers.

8. Categorisation, identifiers, and data quality#

8.1 Sellers shall list Items in the correct category, provide required product identifiers (such as barcodes/GTINs) where applicable, and provide accurate attributes. Fawran may re-categorise, correct, enrich, translate, or standardise Listings, and may match or aggregate Listings of identical products to a single product detail page.

9. Regulated and special-handling Items#

9.1 Items subject to regulatory, safety, age, or handling requirements must include all legally required information, warnings, and approvals, and the Seller must hold the necessary permits. Restricted-category Items may require pre-approval (see the Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy).

10. Fawran's rights over Listings#

10.1 Fawran may review, edit, optimise, translate, re-categorise, suppress, refuse, or remove any Listing, and may suspend listing privileges, where a Listing violates this Policy, any Seller Policy, or applicable law, or where necessary to protect Buyers, the Platform, or third parties. Fawran's exercise of these rights does not relieve the Seller of responsibility for its Listings.

11. Consumer-protection interaction#

11.1 Listings must enable Buyers to make informed decisions consistent with the Consumer Protection Law No. 7 of 2017, including accurate descriptions, pricing, and required disclosures. Nothing in this Policy limits Buyers' statutory rights.

12. Enforcement#

12.1 Violations may result in Listing correction or removal, ranking or visibility reduction, restriction or suspension of listing privileges, and other measures under the Seller Agreement and the Seller Code of Conduct, up to termination for serious or repeated violations. Enforcement may be appealed in accordance with the Seller Agreement.

13. Amendments, electronic acceptance, governing law, and disputes#

13.1 This Policy may be amended in accordance with the Seller Agreement; acceptance is electronic and recorded under the Electronic Transactions Law No. 15 of 2015; this Policy is governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, with disputes resolved in accordance with the Seller Agreement.
