Brand Requests Explained

Products · Brands

Two different things share the word “brand”. Typing a brand name on a product is just text. Owning or verifying a brand is a formal request Fawran reviews. Don’t confuse them.

ActionWhat it is
Brand name on a productA free-text field in Step 1 of the offer wizard. No approval needed; it’s just a label.
Brand RequestA moderated request to claim ownership of a brand, get a brand verified, or correct a brand alias.

When to file a Brand Request

Open CatalogBrand Requests and create a new request, picking a type:

  • Request brand ownership (OWNERSHIP) — you own/represent the brand and want it attributed to you.
  • Request brand verification (VERIFICATION) — get the brand marked as verified.
  • Request alias correction (ALIAS_CORRECTION) — fix a misspelled or duplicate brand name.

Statuses and what they mean

Provide the brand name (and brand ID if you have it) plus a note. The request moves through PENDINGAPPROVED / REJECTED / NEEDS_INFO; brand status appears as VERIFIED, UNVERIFIED, CANDIDATE or REJECTED.

Important

All brand ownership/verification decisions require Fawran approval. Putting a brand’s name in the product field does not grant you any rights to that brand.
