Worked Example: From First Sign-In to a Verified Store

Complete Examples · Getting Started

Ahmad wants to sell home goods on Fawran as “Ahmad Home Goods” from Amman. This example walks his exact journey: sign in with an email code, create the store, complete every verification step, submit — and handle one review round-trip when his Commercial Registration photo is too blurry.

Starting point

Ahmad has: a company registered in Jordan, its Commercial Registration document, his national ID, and a company bank account. He has never used Fawran before. His goal: a store whose verification status reads APPROVED — because until then, the platform blocks selling actions with the error FORBIDDEN_UNVERIFIED_STORE and the message «أكمل توثيق المتجر قبل البيع.» (“Complete store verification before selling.”).

Where this happens

Three screens, in order: the sign-in page, the store-creation wizard, then Verification inside the store.

The verification wizard — six steps in a fixed order, with a completion progress bar.

Step by step with Ahmad’s values

  1. Sign in. On “Sign in to Fawran”, Ahmad enters ahmad@ahmadhomegoods.com and clicks Continue. He receives a 6-digit code (valid 10 minutes), types it and clicks Confirm code. There is no password — ever.
  2. Create the store. The 3-step wizard “Create your store” opens: step Store market — he picks Jordan; step Store details — Store name (English) Ahmad Home Goods, Store name (Arabic) متجر أحمد للأدوات المنزلية (both required), plus optional store email and phone; step Add members — he has no team yet, so he clicks Skip and finish.
  3. Open Verification. The dashboard shows the store is not verified yet. Ahmad opens Verification.
  4. Business. Legal company name Ahmad Home Goods Trading Co., Commercial registration number 123456789, phone, address in Amman, and a business category. Fields autosave.
  5. Owners. Add owner: full legal name as on the ID, national ID number, mobile number, then upload the ID front and back images. At least one owner is required.
  6. Documents. Upload the Commercial Registration (the only mandatory document; tax certificate and business licence are optional).
  7. Bank. Add the company account: bank name, account holder, and IBAN — for format only, an example looks like JO71CBJO0000000000001234567890 (this is a format example, not a real account). A wrong format shows «رقم IBAN غير صالح — يبدأ برمز الدولة (مثل JO)…». Upload the bank proof and mark the account to receive payouts.
  8. Agreements. Accept both platform agreements.
  9. Review & submit. The Review step lists anything missing. When everything is complete, Ahmad clicks Submit for review — the data locks and goes to the Fawran compliance team.

What you should see

DRAFTSUBMITTEDUNDER_REVIEWAPPROVED

After submitting, the status chip changes from DRAFT to SUBMITTED with the notice “Your verification request has been submitted and is now with the Fawran compliance team.” You may still edit during review — any section you change is automatically re-checked. When approved, the banner reads “Your store is verified.” and selling unlocks: products, inventory, shipments, orders.

🧩Example

The review branch: Ahmad’s CR photo was blurry. The status becomes INFO_REQUESTED (“Additional information required”), the banner says the Fawran team requested additional information, and only the flagged section is editable — other sections show “This section does not need changes”. The document itself is marked NEEDS_REPLACEMENT. Ahmad clicks Provide the required information, replaces the file with a sharp scan, and resubmits. The status returns to review and later becomes APPROVED.

A common mistake on this journey

🚫Common Mistake

Trying to add products or inventory before approval. The app blocks it with FORBIDDEN_UNVERIFIED_STORE and redirects to Verification. Recovery: you can still prepare products as drafts while waiting — they just cannot be sold until the status is APPROVED.

When to contact support

Open a ticket (category Store & Account) if the status has been SUBMITTED or UNDER_REVIEW far beyond the expected review window, if you cannot edit a section that was explicitly requested, or if the store was SUSPENDED and you don’t know why. Include the store name and the date you submitted.
