Getting Started · Start Here

This is the master map for new sellers. It tells you what the Fawran Seller app is, who can sell, how your account and your stores relate, the ten steps from first sign-in to a running store, and — most importantly — exactly what keeps selling locked until your store is verified.

What the Seller app is, and who can use it

The Fawran Seller app is where a merchant runs a store on the Fawran marketplace: products, inventory, orders, shipments, returns, promotions and reports — all in one place, Arabic-first with full English support. Anyone can create an account and a store in minutes, but selling requires a verified, registered company: store verification is a company (KYB) process and there is no individual path. Your team can join too — colleagues are invited by email with a role that controls what they can do.

One account, many stores

Your account is just your email — there is no password; you sign in with a 6-digit emailed code. That one account can own or join several stores. After every sign-in you land on the store picker (“Welcome back 👋”), choose a store, and everything after that — products, orders, settings — belongs to that store. Switching stores is always available from the store menu in the header.

ℹ️Note

Details of the code-based sign-in, its limits and troubleshooting live in Signing In & Sessions.

The 10-step roadmap

5 · Create your productsCatalog-first; drafts are allowed before approval
6 · Add inventoryQuantities per product — needs verification approved

Your first-login checklist

  • Sign in with your business email and open the store picker.
  • Create your store (market, English + Arabic names) — you become its Owner.
  • Open Verification and start the six steps; every field autosaves.
  • While the review runs, build products as drafts and read up on fulfillment models.
  • Invite teammates from Settings → Members if you work as a team.
  • When the dashboard card says your store is active, add inventory and go live.

What blocks selling: the activation gate

Until your verification status is Approved, every selling action is blocked by one server-side gate. Blocked actions return the code FORBIDDEN_UNVERIFIED_STORE and the app shows the Arabic message «أكمل توثيق المتجر قبل البيع.» then takes you to the Verification page.

  • Publishing products and listings — blocked until approval (drafts are fine).
  • Adding or updating inventory quantities — blocked.
  • Creating FBF inbound shipments and Market shipments — blocked.
  • Marking orders ready for dispatch — blocked.
Important

The dashboard leads with the card “Complete your store verification to start selling” until you are approved. Its status line is honest: “you can prepare products as drafts, but you cannot sell until approval.” Start verification on day one — it is reviewed by a human team.

Recommended learning order

  1. Signing In & Sessions — the passwordless flow and its limits.
  2. Create Your Store — the 3-step wizard.
  3. Complete Store Verification and Verification Statuses & What To Do.
  4. Navigating the Seller Dashboard — what is live and what is placeholder.
  5. Choosing a Fulfillment Model and Fulfillment Models Compared.
  6. Create Your First Product — catalog-first creation.
  7. Add Inventory — quantities per model.
  8. Your model’s end-to-end guide: FBF, MARKET or FBS.
  9. Order Lifecycle Overview and Receive & Process an Order.
  10. Reading Your Sales Reports — where the real numbers live.

Stuck? The support path

Every screen’s help route ends at Contact Us → New ticket. The ticket wizard walks you through category → reason → sub-reason → details, and returns a ticket number (like TKT20250712) you can track under your tickets. For account and verification problems pick the Store & Account category and include your Store ID from Settings.

🧩Example
Ahmad Home Goods signs up on Monday: creates the store in 2 minutes, submits verification the same day, builds 12 draft products on Tuesday while the review runs, is approved Wednesday, adds MARKET inventory that afternoon — and receives the first order Thursday morning from the Needs-action panel.
