This is the one to read closely. Ahmad sends 20 units of Colombian Coffee Beans 250g to the Fawran warehouse in 2 cartons (12 + 8), with a platform captain picking up from his location, and Fawran printing the unit barcodes at receiving. Every screen, checkbox and status below is exactly what the app shows.
Starting point
State: verified store; the coffee has an FBF inventory row (previous example) with Available 0. Goal: 20 sellable units at the warehouse — the shipment reaching the display stage «تم التفعيل في المخزون» (“activated in inventory”).

Shipments›FBF Shipments → Create Shipment. The wizard has 4 steps and auto-saves drafts.
Step by step with Ahmad’s values
- Step 1 — Select Products. Search the coffee, set quantity 20.
- Step 2 — Boxes & Dimensions. Add new box → Box 1: weight/length/width/height, then allocate 12 coffee units into it. Add new box again → Box 2 with 8 units. The summary must read “all pieces distributed” — the wizard enforces this (see the mistake below).
- Step 3 — Preparation & Delivery. Delivery method By Platform (a Fawran captain collects). Ahmad selects his source warehouse, the destination platform warehouse, pickup date 2026-07-16, pickup window «09:00 - 12:00 صباحاً», and the pickup contact (his name + phone). Optional: pickup instructions and vehicle-plate note.
- Step 4 — Confirmation. Review products, boxes and declared dimensions. Unit-label responsibility shows Fawran prints unit labels during receiving (
FAWRAN_PRINTS) — so Ahmad must not attach any unit barcodes himself. He ticks the mandatory carton pledge: “I undertake to print and attach all carton labels on every box before handing off the shipment.” A fee summary also appears here. The financial details of this step are covered in a dedicated Finance guide coming soon. - Click Confirm Shipment → success page → Download box labels (PDF) → print the 2 carton labels and attach one per box, barcodes visible, never swapped between boxes.
- From the shipment detail, click Send shipment — the status moves from
DRAFTtoPENDING_PICKUP. After this point the shipment cannot be edited; it can be cancelled only whileDRAFTorPENDING_PICKUP(“Are you sure you want to cancel this shipment?”).
What you should see
The detail page tracks the captain chain live (assigned captain’s name and phone appear). After ARRIVED_AT_WAREHOUSE, receiving starts and the stage chip shows «تم الاستلام — قيد الفحص» (received — under inspection); Fawran prints and attaches the FWU unit barcodes during this phase. Then «تم التخزين — بانتظار التفعيل» (stored — awaiting activation), and finally «تم التفعيل في المخزون» (activated in inventory) — Ahmad’s inventory row now shows Available 20.
The damage branch: the warehouse finds 1 unit crushed during inspection. 19 units continue to storage and activation (Available 19), and the shipment detail shows «1 حالة استلام قيد المعالجة» (1 receiving case being processed). A common mistake on this journey
Declaring quantity 20 in step 1 but allocating only 17 across the boxes. Step 2 blocks progress with the exact message «لم يتم توزيع 3 قطعة من منتج بعد» (“3 pieces of a product are not distributed yet”) — and confirmation refuses with “check the product allocation across boxes”. Recovery: open Box 2 and raise the coffee line from 5 to 8 (or add the missing units to either box) until the banner reads «تم توزيع جميع القطع على الصناديق» — all pieces distributed. Related guards: an empty box («الصندوق لا يحتوي على أي منتج») and fractional quantities («الكمية يجب أن تكون عدداً صحيحاً») are also rejected.
When to contact support
Open a ticket (category Shipping & Fulfillment → FBF inbound) if no captain is assigned long after the pickup window passed, if the shipment sits in ARRIVED_AT_WAREHOUSE with no receiving progress for days, or if the activated quantity doesn’t match what you shipped and no receiving case explains the gap. Always quote the shipment reference number.
