FBS means you store, ship and deliver with your own courier. The app gives you three buttons — Approve, Out for Delivery, Delivered — and expects a tracking number when the parcel leaves.
What FBS means for orders
An FBS row is fully yours: no captain, no Fawran warehouse. The buyer’s Delivery Address card on the order detail page shows the recipient, address, notes, a tap-to-call phone number and a maps link — everything you need to hand to your courier. Your dispatch also feeds the buyer’s tracking view, so accuracy matters.
Step 1 — Approve
New FBS items appear under “Awaiting approval” and in New Orders. Click Approve and confirm: NEW → PROCESSING. Only approve what you can actually ship within your stated handling time — the item’s maximum delivery days were declared when you listed FBS stock.
Step 2 — Prepare and package
Pack securely, write or print your own courier label, and book the pickup/drop-off with your courier. Fawran does not print FBS labels for you — labelling is between you and your courier.
Step 3 — Dispatch (tracking number required)
When the parcel leaves, click Out for Delivery. A dialog opens — the confirm button stays disabled until you enter a tracking number:
On confirm, the item becomes OUT_FOR_DELIVERY, the linked shipment becomes DISPATCHED carrying your tracking number and courier, and the row moves to the In Delivery tab. Fill the courier field too — it shows on the shipment info card and helps everyone trace the parcel.
Step 4 — Confirm delivery
When your courier completes the delivery, click Delivered and confirm the dialog (“Do you want to change the order status to “Delivered”?”). There is no proof-of-delivery photo or signature upload in the app — completion is by your confirmation, so keep your courier’s delivery evidence in your own records in case of a dispute or return.
Failed delivery or unreachable customer
Honest scope: the app has no reschedule or “delivery attempt failed” feature. The item simply stays OUT_FOR_DELIVERY until you either mark it Delivered or cancel it. In practice:
- Coordinate directly with your courier and the customer (their phone is on the Delivery Address card) for a second attempt.
- If the customer is definitively unreachable or refuses receipt, cancel the item with the reason Customer Request and add a note describing the attempts.
- If the parcel already comes back to you and a return case is opened, handle it through Returns — FBS returns are seller-actionable.
Cancelling an FBS order
FBS cancel is available while the item is NEW, PROCESSING or even OUT_FOR_DELIVERY (undelivered). After DELIVERED it is final — anything after that is a return, not a cancellation. Details, dialog and consequences: Cancelling an Order.
Troubleshooting
The Confirm button in the Out for Delivery dialog is disabled.
- The tracking number field is empty — it is required.
- Enter the courier’s tracking number, then Confirm.
- No tracking system? Enter your courier’s reference for the trip — the field is required and feeds the buyer’s tracking view, so use a real, traceable reference.
A red banner such as “Failed to update order status”.
- Connection problem.
- The item is no longer in a state that allows this transition (e.g. it was cancelled in parallel).
- Refresh the order detail page and re-check the current status.
- Retry the action once.
- If it persists, open a support ticket with the order number.
Order ORD-284551 (FBS): you approve at 09:00, pack, book your courier, and at 13:00 press Out for Delivery entering tracking TRK-99120 and your courier’s name. Next day the courier confirms delivery; you press Delivered. Done — the row now sits in Delivered and Order History.
