What may not be sold or bought through Fawran, and what to do if you see it listed.
1. Purpose#
1.1 This is a notice to buyers setting out what may not be listed or bought through the Fawran platform, and what to do if you see it listed.

3.2 An additional condition may be shown to you at checkout for a restricted Item.
4. If you see a prohibited Item listed#
4.1 Tell us through the official support channels, with the listing link or a screenshot.
4.2 We review the report, remove the listing if it breaches the rules, and take appropriate action against the Seller, graduated up to suspension.
4.3 Your report is confidential; we do not disclose your identity to the person reported unless the law requires it.
4.4 We cooperate with the competent authorities where the law requires it.
5. Our responsibility and the Seller's#
5.1 The Seller is responsible for the lawfulness of what it lists.
5.2 We review listings and remove those that breach the rules, but we do not inspect every Item before it is listed.
5.3 Article 4(e) of the Consumer Protection Law No. (7) of 2017 obliges the supplier to respect religious values, customs, traditions and the consumer's dignity. Article 4(a) obliges it to verify the quality of the goods it deals in and their fitness for the use they were prepared for.
5.4 The division of responsibility is set out in the Marketplace and Third-Party Seller Terms.
6. If you bought something that turns out to be prohibited#
6.1 You are refunded in full, without requiring the Item to be in its original condition, and at no cost to you.
6.2 You are not asked to send it back where sending it back would be unlawful — instead we direct you to the competent authority where required.
6.3 The route is through the official support channels, with the same priority as counterfeit reports.
7. Buying or attempting to buy a prohibited Item#
7.1 Attempting to buy a prohibited Item, or to circumvent a restriction set by law, is a breach, and the Acceptable Use Policy applies.
7.2 It may require us to notify the competent authorities.
