Marketplace and Third-Party Seller Terms
Fawran’s role in each fulfilment model, and what a third-party seller is responsible for.
1. Why this document exists#
1.1 When you buy from a traditional shop, the seller is one obvious party. When you buy from a marketplace, who sells, who stores and who delivers can be different parties.
1.2 This document identifies those parties precisely, so that you know — before you need to — who to take a claim to.
1.3 Nothing here reduces a statutory right. Your rights under the Consumer Protection Law No. (7) of 2017 exist regardless of how roles are divided between us and the Seller.
2. Fawran's role#
2.1 Fawran is a marketplace operator. The Platform is operated by FAWRAN LLC, operating under the trade name FAWRAN. We provide the platform on which Sellers list their Items, we process Orders, we facilitate payment, and in some models we run fulfilment and delivery.
2.2 FAWRAN LLC is not the Seller. It does not sell items on its own account and is not the seller of record. In all three fulfilment models, the Seller shown on the Item page is the party you contract with.
2.3 Fawran is not the Seller's agent for contracting. We do not conclude the contract of sale on the Seller's behalf; we provide the means by which it is formed between the two of you.
2.4 Your consumer rights apply to this marketplace in full. FAWRAN provides marketplace services to customers in Jordan. Your rights under Jordanian consumer legislation apply to this marketplace in full, and the division of roles described below never operates to reduce them.
3. The three fulfilment models#
3.1 The applicable model is shown on each Item page and in your order details.
3.2 FBF — Fulfilled by Fawran#
- The Seller places its stock in Fawran's warehouses.
- Fawran handles storage, picking, packing, shipping and delivery.
- The Seller sells; Fawran performs fulfilment and delivery.
- Delivery in this model is free — see the Shipping and Delivery Policy.
- You cannot cancel an FBF item yourself after placing the Order — see the Cancellation Policy for why, and for what to do instead.
3.3 MARKET#
- The stock stays with the Seller.
- Fawran collects it from the Seller and delivers it to you.
- The Seller sells and stores; Fawran delivers.
3.4 FBS — Fulfilled by Seller#
- The stock stays with the Seller, and the Seller ships it to you.
- Fawran operates the Platform and processes the Order.
- A return in this model is handled as its own unit, separate from the rest of the Order.
4. Who is responsible for what#
| Subject | FBF | MARKET | FBS |
|---|---|---|---|
| Selling party in the contract | Seller | Seller | Seller |
| Accuracy of Item description and images | Seller | Seller | Seller |
| Item safety and conformity | Seller | Seller | Seller |
| Warranty after the return window | Seller / manufacturer | Seller / manufacturer | Seller / manufacturer |
| Storage and handling | Fawran | Seller | Seller |
| Packing for shipment | Fawran | Seller | Seller |
| Delivery to you | Fawran | Fawran | Seller |
| Collecting a return from you | Fawran | Fawran | Fawran |
| Inspecting the return | Fawran | Fawran | Fawran |
| Approving and executing the refund | Fawran | Fawran | Fawran |
| Operating the Platform and support | Fawran | Fawran | Fawran |
Look at the three rows near the bottom: collecting a return, inspecting it and approving the refund are Fawran's in all three models. Whatever the model, you deal with Fawran on the returns and refunds path — you are never asked to chase the Seller yourself.
5. Who to bring a claim to#
5.1 Always start with Fawran. Whatever the model, open your request or complaint through Fawran's official channels. We coordinate with the Seller.
5.2 That is not a courtesy. Under Article 20 of the Consumer Protection Law No. (7) of 2017, liability is joint and several among suppliers who caused, or knew of, a defect in a good sold to a consumer.
5.3 Article 18 of the same Law makes the supplier responsible for any violation committed by a person who legally represents it, works for it, or deals with consumers on its behalf.
5.4 We will not send you to the Seller to start again. If resolving your problem requires a decision from the Seller, we are the ones who request it, follow it up, and tell you the outcome.
6. What we require of Sellers#
6.1 Every Seller on the Platform is bound by the Seller Agreement, the Seller Code of Conduct, the Product Listing Policy and the Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy, all published in the Seller section of the Legal Center.
6.2 Those documents oblige the Seller, among other things, to keep listings accurate and not misleading, to supply conforming and safe products, and never to offer a prohibited or counterfeit product.
6.3 Where a Seller breaches those obligations, we act — from removing the listing up to suspending the Seller's account.
7. Prices and offers set by Sellers#
7.1 The Seller sets the price of its Item. Fawran may also run platform-level offers and coupons.
7.2 Listing an Item does not mean we have vetted its price or benchmarked it against the market.
7.3 Coupons and credits are governed by the Promotions, Coupons and Credits Policy.
8. Product reviews and buyer content#
8.1 Buyer reviews appear on product pages and are governed by the Product Reviews, Ratings and User Content Policy.
8.2 A review is the opinion of the person who wrote it. It is not a recommendation by Fawran and not a confirmation by us that it is accurate.
9. Authenticity and counterfeits#
9.1 Listing counterfeit products is prohibited on the Platform.
9.2 If you suspect what you received is counterfeit, the route is set out in the Authenticity and Counterfeit-Product Complaints Policy.
10. What Fawran does not do#
To be plain about it, Fawran does not:
- sell items on its own account as principal;
- manufacture the items listed, or issue manufacturers' warranties;
- guarantee a particular Seller's stock or that a Seller will keep offering an Item;
- give technical, medical or legal advice about any product;
- inspect every item before it is listed — although we do review listings and remove those that breach our rules.
11. Version history#
| Version | Date | What changed |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0 | 26 July 2026 | Initial publication. A new document filling a gap: buyers had no published statement explaining Fawran's role versus the Seller's in each fulfilment model. |
| 1.1 | 26 July 2026 | Marketplace operator named as FAWRAN LLC and expressly stated not to be the seller of record; confirmed that buyers’ rights under Jordanian consumer legislation apply to this marketplace in full. A clarification of an identity that has always applied; no right or obligation is changed and the effective date is unchanged. |
| 1.2 | 28 July 2026 | How the marketplace operator is named was simplified, and the positive fact stated: your rights under Jordanian consumer legislation apply to this marketplace in full. |
