Payment Policy

The payment methods we accept, how card payments are authorised, and how the Wallet works.

📅Effective: 26 July 2026🔄Last updated: 28 July 2026⏱️6 min read🌐Available in Arabic & English

1. Accepted payment methods#

MethodWhen it is available
Payment card (credit or debit)On all Orders
Cash on deliveryOn Orders whose payable amount does not exceed the limit in the Cash on Delivery Policy

1.1 Wallet credit is not currently a payment method at checkout. See section 5 for what the Wallet is and what you can do with it.

1.2 Article 21(A) of the Electronic Transactions Law No. (15) of 2015 provides that the transfer of funds by electronic means is an accepted method of payment.

1.3 Who collects your payment, and in what capacity. Payment is collected by FAWRAN LLC, operating under the trade name FAWRAN. It collects as a payment facilitator and passes the proceeds on under its settlement arrangements with the Seller. Collecting the price does not make FAWRAN LLC the seller of the Item — the Seller remains your counterparty in the sale under the Terms of Sale. Whoever collects the money, your refund rights run against Fawran in the way set out in the Refund Policy.

2. Paying by card#

2.1 Who handles your card#

2.1.1 Card payments are handled by a specialist payment service provider, which is the party your details are entered with.

2.1.2 Your full card number and security code (CVV) never reach Fawran's systems. What we see is: the last four digits, the card type, a reference identifier, and the transaction status.

2.2 Authorisation and capture#

2.2.1 When you confirm payment, your card issuer is asked to authorise the amount.

2.2.2 A temporary hold for the order value may appear on your card statement before the transaction completes. If the Order is not accepted the hold is released; how long it takes to disappear from your statement is set by your card issuer, not by us.

2.2.3 We do not collect money for an Item we did not accept.

2.3 When a payment fails#

ReasonWhat happens
Declined by your card issuerThe Order is not accepted. The reason sits with your bank; we are not told it in detail
Insufficient funds or a limit exceededThe Order is not accepted
Connection lost during the transactionWe do not create a duplicate Order; the system prevents one attempt producing two Orders
Additional bank verification failedThe Order is not accepted

2.3.1 You are not charged a fee when a payment fails. If you see a charge for an Order that did not complete, contact us immediately through the official support channels.

2.4 Saved cards#

2.4.1 You can save a card to speed up later purchases. It is stored with the payment service provider, not with us.

2.4.2 You can remove it in account settings at any time, and it is also removed when you delete your account.

2.5 Card currency#

2.5.1 We charge in Jordanian Dinars. If your card is in another currency, your issuer may convert at its own rate and add its own conversion fee.

2.5.2 Those fees are not Fawran's and do not come to us, and we cannot estimate them for you in advance. Check with your card issuer.

3. Cash on delivery#

Subject to a limit and to specific conditions, in its own document: the Cash on Delivery Policy.

4. Payment security#

4.1 We will never ask you — in a message or a call — for your full card number, your card security code, or your one-time sign-in code.

4.2 Card details are entered only inside the Platform on the secured payment page.

4.3 Any call or message asking you for those is not from us; how to verify and report is in the Customer Support and Official Contact Policy.

4.4 Legislation in force — including the Cybercrime Law No. (17) of 2023 — covers attacks on electronic payment means and banking services.

5. The Wallet#

5.1 What it is#

5.1.1 The Wallet is a credit balance you hold with Fawran.

5.1.2 It is not a bank account, it earns no interest, and it cannot be transferred to another person.

5.2 What goes into it#

SourceWhen
A refund on an Order paid by cash on deliveryWhen the refund is approved — see the Refund Policy
A refund approved for payment to the WalletWhen it is approved
Redeeming a gift card codeImmediately on successful redemption
Topping up with your cardOn a successful top-up

5.3 Topping up#

5.3.1 You can top up the Wallet with your card, subject to a minimum and a maximum per transaction, both shown on the top-up screen before you confirm.

5.3.2 The top-up itself is subject to the card payment provisions in section 2.

5.4 ★ What you cannot do with the balance#

⚠️

Wallet credit is not paid out in cash and is not transferred to a bank account. It is credit for use inside the Fawran platform. Please take that into account before topping up, and before choosing the Wallet as the destination for a refund.

5.4.1 The balance cannot be transferred to another user.

5.4.2 When you delete your account we tell you your balance before acting, so you can decide what to do with it.

5.5 Balance movements#

Every movement on your Wallet — credit or debit — is recorded in the statement inside your account, showing its date, its reason and its reference.

6. Gift cards#

6.1 A gift card is redeemed by entering its code on the Platform; its value is added to your Wallet.

6.2 A code is single-use and is spent once redeemed.

6.3 The balance produced by redemption is subject to all the Wallet provisions in section 5, including that it is not paid out in cash.

6.4 Keep a gift card code as you would keep cash; whoever obtains it can redeem it.

7. Invoices and records#

7.1 Every Order has an electronic record showing the Items, the amounts, the payment method and the transaction date, available in your order details.

7.2 This satisfies your right under Article 3(A)(5) of the Consumer Protection Law No. (7) of 2017.

8. Disputing a payment#

8.1 If you see a transaction you do not recognise, or an amount that does not match your Order, contact us first — it is usually resolved faster and more accurately than through a bank chargeback.

8.2 If you choose to dispute with your card issuer, we cooperate with legitimate requests and provide it with the transaction records.

8.3 If a dispute is shown to have been raised in bad faith over an Order you actually received, that is a form of abuse under the Acceptable Use Policy.

9. Version history#

VersionDateWhat changed
1.026 July 2026Initial publication. A new document: there was no published statement of the payment methods, or of the Wallet and gift-card rules.
1.126 July 2026The party that collects your payment identified as FAWRAN LLC, acting as payment facilitator and not as the seller of the Item; collecting the price does not transfer the seller’s role. A clarification of an identity that has always applied; no right or obligation is changed and the effective date is unchanged.
1.228 July 2026How the party that collects payment is named was simplified.
