Pack & Hand Over an Order

Orders · Handover

Once an item is ready, it has to physically leave — either with a Fawran captain (MARKET) or your own courier (FBS). Here’s how each handover works.

MARKET — hand over to a captain

After you approve a MARKET item and mark it Ready for Dispatch, keep the parcel packed and waiting: a Fawran captain collects it from your address, scans it, and takes it to the Fawran warehouse. You never scan anything yourself.

A shipment-barcode panel also exists on the MARKET order detail page. It is awaiting platform activation today — the page says so itself: “Market shipment preparation and the shipment barcode will be enabled soon (awaiting Admin system activation).” Once live, you’ll confirm a short 4-point readiness checklist, the system creates one shipment barcode, and you print a single label with Print shipment label (reprints require a reason and keep the same barcode).

ℹ️Note

The full stage-by-stage view of this journey, including every captain and warehouse status you’ll see, is in MARKET Order Workflow.

FBS — deliver it yourself

For FBS you own the delivery. From the order, click Out for Delivery — a dialog asks for a tracking number (required; you can’t confirm without it) and a courier. When it arrives, mark it Delivered.

Best Practice

Use sturdy packaging and attach any label squarely and flat. Damaged or mislabelled parcels are the leading cause of delivery failures and returns.

🚫Common Mistake

Marking an item ready before it’s actually packed. A captain arriving to an unready parcel wastes a pickup and can hurt your reliability.
